of refugees fleeing war, AIDS, and poverty.
Upheavals in the region have caused a mass exodus
of people from their home countries into neighboring
countries. Angola, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Rwanda,
Burundi and Uganda have each been involved in
a series of wars.
