Social
justice and the rights of all - There
is a saying, "you cannot have peace without
justice" and so work towards social justice
is an integral part of Texans for Peace. Whether
fighting for civil liberties, against the "-isms"
of the world (racism, sexism, etc.), you will
find Texans at the forefront of social justice.
Work for social justice extends
into the areas of city, county, state, and federal
policies that affect us - the public - as well.
As L.B.J famously said, "You do not
examine legislation in the light of the benefits
it will convey if properly administered, but
in the light of the wrongs it would do and the
harms it would cause if improperly administered."
