Safe
schools, without violence - Every
student deserves the opportunity to attend school
in a safe and secure learning environment. Every
educator - teacher, administrator, support person
- also deserves a safe and secure environment
in which to work.
Texans for Peace is working on
a long-term project to implement a peace curriculum
in schools throughout the state. By training
teachers and students in nonviolence, we hope
to give them the skills they need to make Texas
a more peaceful place for all. We are also interested
in the subject of gang
violence and how Texans can have a positive
impact on children's lives.
