Diversity
of beliefs - Texas has a rich and
diverse faith community and a history of people
of many beliefs, including those with no religion,
working closely together to address issues and
problems for communities as a whole. For most
Texans strong religous beliefs, sprirituality,
or faith is essential to their internal peace
and provides motivation for their concern for
others.
Texans for Peace recognizes and
encourages the inclusion of faith and religion
in peace and justice activites. At the same
time, we encourage people to seek to understand
and work with those who belong to religious
groups different from their own - or do not
have faith in the traditional sense.
