Charlie Jackson will embark on his 3rd trip to Iraq, as a member of the Christian Peacemaker Teams (CPT), on September 16, 2005. He will be part of a 2-week delegations of six peacemakers from the U.S. and Canada who will join with the permanent CPT team in Baghdad. While in Iraq, the delegation plans to visit schools, religious leaders, hospitals, and areas affected the most by the war including other cities in Iraq (our schedule isn't published due to security)

Members of the delegation include: *Bob Holmes (Toronto, ON), Age 69. A Roman Catholic priest, Bob was a member of the Toronto Catholic Worker for several years and has engaged in non-violent actions on various justice issues. He facilitated delegations to Mexico and West Africa with the One World Program and has served with CPT in Hebron, Colombia, and Iraq. He is currently CPT's Pastoral Support coordinator and will lead the delegation. *Claire Evans (Chicago, IL), Age 53. Following several years as a librarian, Claire worked at Catholic Worker houses in Minnesota and Virginia. Since 1998, she has been part of CPT's support team in Chicago, has served with teams in Hebron, West Bank, and Chiapas, Mexico, and has been part of delegations to Colombia and the Mexico/Arizona borderlands. *Denise Faccini (Chilliwack, BC), Age 31. Denise has volunteered at a home for women in Croatia, in a youth program in Kyrgyzstan, and with Habitat for Humanity in South Africa and Kenya. In Vancouver, she is involved in a project for survivors of torture and a Red Cross global education program. Denise wrote her MA thesis on counseling psychology on Muslim refugees. *CharlieJackson (Austin, TX), Age 46. Charlie is an international technology consultant. A long-time member of the Fellowship of Reconciliation, he founded Texans for Peace and was part of an international civilian peacemaking effort in Bosnia in 1993. Charlie participated in CPT's December 2002 and November 2003 Iraq delegations. *Joe Mueller (Cleveland, OH), Age. 24. Joe currently works as a community organizer in a Cleveland neighborhood, where he is also part of the Cleveland Catholic Worker. He has served with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps and Americorps VISTA. *Elce Redmond (Chicago, IL), Age 41. Elce has engaged in community organizing in Chicago for the past 20 years, and has conducted training and research in East Timor, Cote d'Ivoire, Argentina, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Hungary.
