Teaching Peace in Texas Conference

Join educators from throughout the state to learn new strategies and find materials for building more peaceful and violence-free Texas schools. Participate in the latest workshops, learn from speakers, and gather materials for peace and nonviolence education in our state.

Keynote (Luncheon) Speaker - Arlene Inouye

Ms. Inouye , is a bilingual Speech and Language teacher in East Los Angeles. She is the founder of the Coalition Against Militarism in Our Schools (CAMS) and on the Steering Committee of National Network Opposing Militarization of Youth (NNOMY).

Arlene is also a third-generation Japanese American whose parents and grandparents were interned in the U.S. during WWII.
